The benefits of an AR treatment are clear.  Distracting reflections and glare can rob your eyes of up to 14% of available light.  An Anti-Reflective treatment allows virtually all available light to pass through your lenses for sharper, clearer, more comfortable vision.  Recent tests prove that patients are able to see more clearly with an Anti-Reflective treatment, especially under low light conditions when reduced light transmission can seriously affect vision.  The New Anti-reflective treatments like EVC, Crizal, Zeiss, Teflon & Kodak, have a special topcoat which makes your lenses easier to clean and care for than ever before!

Crizal UV with Optifog (subtle green)

Optifog is a new breakthrough technology with superior anti-fog properties. It has an advanced anti-fog top coat that, when combined with the Optifog Activator, provides long lasting fog free vision. The top coat and the Activator work together like Velcro. Each of their unique properties combine to create a revolutionary anti-fog solution.

Includes an Optifog Activator Kit, which includes: One bottle of the Optifog Activator, a cleaning cloth and a certificate of authentication.

Crizal® Sapphire™ UV (subtle blue)

Zeiss® Clean Coat - This is the final layer of protection that seals the lenses, repels dirt & grease, prevents staining and makes cleaning easier without smudging.  Standard with all anti-reflective Zeiss ET, Carat and Foundation XT Coatings, Cool Mirrors.

RxTreme starts with a process that makes the coating 4 times harder than standard mirrors.  A backside anti-reflective coating is provided to reduce unwanted reflections.  A premium hydrophobic & Oleophobic topcoat is applied to make the lenses easier to clear and to keep clean.  Base color tinting is available at an additional charge, please call for charges.  This treatment is recommended for Polycarbonate and Polarized Polycarbonate lenses.

• Mirror coloration will vary if differing base curves are selected.
• Base color coating or tinting on all mirrors is available at an additional charge.  Please refer to prices listed above for “Glass Vacuum Coatings” or “Specialty Tints”.
• For standard colors on CR-39, Polycarbonate and Hi-Index lenses, please call for charges.
• Backside AR coatings are included with all glass mirror coatings except Polarized Glass lenses.
• Polarized Glass Lenses can only receive a Solid Silver Mirror coating and cannot be backside AR coated.
• A Clear Mirror, or any Flash Mirror can be applied to Transitions lenses.  A backside AR coating is highly recommended.  Solid mirrors are not recommended.
