Skew Deformation Index Mapping quantifies, via computer simulation, the precise extent of visual distortion suffered by wearers of progressive lenses. Another new computer simulation technology called 'Balanced View Control', actually calculates the degree of visual distortion through the progressive lens at various angles.

Fitting Guidelines:

1. Adjust frame for appropriate vertex distance and pantoscopic angle
2. Take a monocular distance P.O. measurement using a pupillometer
3. Measure the Optical Centre (OC) height from pupil centre to the deepest part of the frame (as if measuring a progressive addition lens)
