COLTS Laboratories, an independent testing facility, has certified Kaenon Polarized SR-91 lens material with an optical acuity and clarity of 40 lines of resolution-  the highest possible score of the stringent U.S. government testing standard, ANSI Z.87.1.  COLTS determined the SR-91 material exceeds high mass impact standards mandated by ANSI Z.87.1.

Color Selection:
Kaenon Polarized lenses offer the perfect lens color to enhance vision for a variety of situations.  It is available in Grey, Copper and Yellow.

• Grey- a neutral color that does not alter color perception
• Copper- enhances color contrast, depth perception and detail recognition
• Yellow- superior contrast enhancement and detail definition

Light Transmission Level (LTL):

Lens Colors for Bright Light Conditions:
Grey LTL 12 and Copper LTL 12- These are the darkest and most popular lens colors.  They perform best in bright full sun conditions.  Transmission is 12% of the visible light spectrum. It is the most common LTL for everyday use.

Lens Colors for Specialty Use in Less Than Full Sun:
Grey LTL 28 and Copper LTL 25- These colors perform best in cloudy and lower light conditions.  Color transmission is 28% of the visible light spectrum.  They are half as dark as Grey LTL12 and Copper LTL12   Both colors are great for multi-purpose  and specialty use.

Lens Colors for Specialty Use in Low Light Conditions:
Yellow LTL 35- This color significantly enhances contrast.  Optimum usage is in hazy, changing and lower light conditions.  Transmission is 35% of the visible light spectrum.
Copper LTL 50- This color allows maximum light transmission for greater detail recognition.  It performs best in low light conditions.  Transmisison is 50% of the visible light spectrum.  This is the lightest color available for specialty lens use.

Freestyle Progressive Prescription Sunglasses

The precision and flexibility of back-side digital surfacing is  available in a wrapped Freestyle Progressive polarized lens.

Kaenon Polarized SR-91 Freestyle Progressive prescription Sunglass Lenses are custom-made to suit your active lifestyles. Precise optical measurements are first taken to create a personalized vision profile. Then  powerful prescription software creates the unique vision solution. Finally, Freestyle Progressive lenses are generated using state-of-the-art back-side digital surfacing technology to create the best vision ever achieved in a progressive lens. Back-side digital surfacing technology results in a customized lens for each individual patient to the optical accuracy of 0.01 diopters – far exceeding that of standard PALs that are offered only in 0.25 diopters.
