Varilux Physio is the new generation of progressive lens from Essilor. It is the first to deliver the corrective power of W.A.V.E. Technology™ to presbyopes seeking the sharpest, most natural vision.

What is the W.A.V.E. Technology?
With the W.A.V.E. Technology: Wavefront Advanced Vision Enhancement, Varilux has adapted the wavefront technology to correct vision by detecting and eliminating surface distortion, to literally correct progressive lenses. It’s a new way to handle higher order aberrations—which traditional surfacing has been unable to address. Through engineering advancements the W.A.V.E. Technology achieves unmatched visual acuity and comfort for the wearer.

Varilux Physio Is Available In Two Versions:

1: Varilux Physio 360º™ • Front & Back Design
W.A.V.E. Technology can also be applied to both sides of the lens. Thanks to a new, patented 360º Digital Surfacing™ process, the back side of the lens is calculated separately and surfaced to match the front. This makes the most of the patient’s visual potential providing enhanced visual sharpness whatever the prescription.

2: Varilux Physio • Front Design
Thanks to W.A.V.E. Technology™ (Wavefront Advanced Vision Enhancement) front side only design and specialized molds, these lenses address higher order aberrations and provide far greater acuity in all fields of vision.

Does Varilux fit well in small frames?
Yes, Varilux Physio has a minimum fitting height of 17mm. However, the best Varilux® design, perfectly adapted to small frames and the specific visual strategy of its wearers is Varilux® Ellipse® (MFH of 14 mm).

Are there special fitting measurements?
No, Varilux Physio is measured the same as with any Varilux progressive lens.

Who is a potential wearer of Add +4.00?
Addition 4.00 should address medical cases I.e. patients with low pathological near vision, post-cataract surgery etc.
